Kaom's heart rampage trade scam?

@jake

Belly of the beast gives a little bit less hp overall and gives resis + a 6-link.(and extra gore w00t w00t)

So it is the obvious choice in the current game state.

Roughly 200/400 extra hp is not worth an additional 6-link slot.

Peace,

kaom's is on par with bor right now

I disagree. BoR's block chance makes it very powerful in the current PoE iteration.
Totally agree with op. Same thing has been happening with soul takers. And those selling them (2 guys) are incidentally selling kaoms too
Its called market manipulation. Some guy(s) will post them for cheaper but won't actually sell them. Then try to buy them all that cheap and raise the prices.

In standard they are 20-25 ex. Don't fall for their newb tactics.

If what they do successfully bring down the general price of Kaoms, it is actually a good thing to do. They are protecting rampage from inflation!

If it is all people from the same guild then it is pretty obvious, no surprise at all the lengths some people will go to make some currency.

Can see this happening with any items, someone gets their friend to post a similar item, tells seller to check xyz, "there is one there for X-ex, so match the price bro".
I contacted one seller (selling Kaom's Heart with 37% fire damage for 3.5ex) a few days ago and told him that I wanted to buy it.

He told me that it had been "reserved". I checked poe.trade today and it is still listed there. Obviously he doesn't want to sell it.
@Turbo32 Yeah people do this kind of thing regularly. Im not sure if its a scam but its definitely a tactic richer people use to get more items (by richer I mean you have to have a copy of the item already, or a few copies across multiple characters).

Listing the <item> for a lower price isn't much of a scam but if you then go and tell the seller of another <item> to check XYZ for the price, that's what would make it a real scam.

Kaom's is still BiS for RF, which is still very strong, and I have done hundreds of Atziri runs on since patch.
