Stuck @ Checking Resources | Tried a few things already.

Hey guys and gals!
So I never had time to play when I originally signed up to the game a while back, but now I do... so I decided to download it again. HOWEVER, the patcher (I believe that's what it is) is stuck at 'checking resources'. I tried the following: - Leaving it run all night. - Deleting the content file. - Running as administrator. - Re-downloading patcher. Gave up for a few days after not finding any other solutions in the forums. Just tried again, and still same issue. I had hoped maybe there was a server issue or something. Halp meeee <3 |

how long constitutes as stuck? because it can take a while and the bigger the hard drive and the more stuff that's on it will make that a bit longer still.

About 12 hours?
And really? How come it can't be as simple as just installing the game... Required space (so and so GB) Free space (so and so GB) Choose directory, install... or something :/ |

It is as simple as installing the game, i've done so several time since closed beta and never had a problem, now have you tried deleting the whole folder including the one in users/**PC profile name**/my documents/my games/path of exile?

Yeah I tried that as well. Forgot to mention it :/
I just don't get it. Because I had it installed on this same PC, same harddrive, like 3 months ago... |

Try defragmenting your hard drive. You can find more information about this here.

And beforee defrag run checkdisk.
