You will save several minutes a week?

I have a great CPU, great GPU and lot's of RAM. But my HDD sucks, and PoE has to load for 4-5 minutes everytime I start it.

Yes, ok, my HDD is old...
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Don't.
I did, the difference was not convincing.

Now SSD => PoE from RAMDISK, that is a different story. Even money-wise
No.

It's a "minor" convenience and in no way a necessity. Game doesn't load too slow unless you have a dinosaur.

As Aldorus said, look into ram disks and more RAM. That'd make it faster (caching entire GGPK) and for less money. You'd probably want 12-16gb ram depending on your current amount though.

You won't die from strongboxes.

You won't have a heart attack while waiting for the client to open after alt+f4 if you play Beyond League.
Huh?
What's there to say? It's a huge performance increase, especially when zoning or opening boxes. And in races! And maps load faster, too. It also really speeds up your entire system's performance if the OS is installed on the SSD. Boot times are fantastic, and even hibernating is great with an SSD. It's the best investment you could make. It also reduces power consumption, heat, and noise! (The HDD will go idle.)

The only theoretical downside is that SSDs wear out at some point, but that point is almost always substantially later than people dump their computers. Just don't use a SSD drive for torrenting a lot.

I could never go back to using a computer that doesn't have an SSD drive for the OS/common apps.

Has anyone noticed, that SSD can reduce lag or desync for POE in some % ?? Anyone tested this facts out fully ?.
GGG thank you for all the great things you are doing. You have combined every element of all other great Rpg's and joined them together as one Diamond, that will shine Forever.

This is coming straight from the heart <3

The way PoE loads audio on-demand from the medium can cause microstuttering when playing from a HDD, especially if it's a slower one. It's those moments when the game seems to very briefly "hang". Using a SSD drive, or playing from a RAM disk (requires at least 12 GB of physical RAM), will help with that.
Can i get some load time and fps numbers of people using an ssd, before and after getting it? Exile strongboxes (with the summoner one still lag with it?) etc...

I want to open exilee boxes but i fear them now.

I run PoE from RAMDISK as a whole.
Exile strongboxes still lag. Not as bad, but noticeably.

What more can I possibly add? :)
