Anyway, back to topic, the wealthiest "players" are obviously owned by RMT sites. By the way, thanks to the way the game is designed the items are relatively cheap in POE. Basicly there is no real wealth in POE.

dude you couldnt even get to baium antharas or valakas without fighting the topguilds you had to fight for exp grounds on a daily basis
no idea on which russian prvate server you played with +100 everthing but saying l2official was easy makes you look like a dumbass
you didnt only lose exp on death(even in pvp) which could delevel you on top you could drop an equipt item
the craft recipes for high end a and s grade were 60% you could lose everthing just trying to craft an armor or weapon

have you even played the game ?
the rng in poe is a welcoming brise compared to l2 so get your facts straight

Azarius I know what are you talking about. I played Lineage 2 for years when it was at it's best. I remember players like dvp, kaganpwnz, playa and many many more. I know what it means to wait for Baium to spawn with endless pvp,worries about your precious gear drop on death, and I know how an epic castle siege look like with thousands of players fighting at the same time. I'd quit however with many people when they introduced the new race with the wings I cant even remeber what they were called. It wasnt the same game after that.

I also played SC BW from 1999-2004 as a pro, won a few online tournaments and I played against players like Elky, LordChick and even Yellow and many more. I had about 250-300 apm. When SC2 was launched I played a few games but it was not like SCBW, I didnt liked it. I play only custom maps nowadays from time to time just to relax with less than 30 apm :-) Couldnt care less about some ranks and achievements nowadays.

I remember this golden age of gaming era like it was yesterday and I must have to say that I never ever had a better time since then. Games nowadays bores me to death. It is nice to see what have you achieved in the games you mentioned and yes I could be jealous about your wealth here in PoE, but I know that this comes with thousands of hours invested into gaming and I think I'm grown up and have much more important things to do in life than sit 16-20 hours in front of my computer. I have my own household now, a pretty good job, a wife and a kid on the way and I cant afford to go "pro" like before when it comes to gaming. It requires tons of hours which I cant spare. The truth is, that I dont even want to.

I understand what you are trying to say here that PoE is not considered as a HC game for a lot of us oldschool players and especially in asia but it might be hard for our new generation. Still I dont play HC only casual softcore and not even every day. Friends convinced me to play GW2.... it sucks. WoW was good until Icecrown then I quit, they ruined it. MuOnline ? It was my very 1st online MMO. Ultima Online ? Damn... kal vas flam ! Rohan, 9Dragons, Rift. Been there done that. All good, there are no games like these nowadays which is a shame. To be honest, PoE, a little LoL and the Souls series on my ps3 are the only games I play atm for a longer period of time. Other games didnt hooked me in. Tried also Hearthstone because I play Magic the gathering for 15 years but didnt liked it. Lineage 2 for me, was the best MMORPG I ever played so far and the epicness of controlling the castles and the alliances, politics and PvP and everything cannot be compared to any game I know. But it was 10 years ago...

It is very nice to see a player like you with similiar gaming experience from the past.

First of all i didn't say the game was easy. I said it isn't as difficult as the trollposter i quoted claimed it to be. For some weird reasons people mistake the chance to fail a craft or to lose levels/items as difficulty. It isn't
For some weird reason people mistake huge commitment in game time or manpower as difficulty. It again isn't
PVP can be difficult UNLESS PVP is mostly zerging others because of your superior gear/group. Guess what you did in L2.
