Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - Music Audio Loop /w Freeze - Forum

My problem is whenever music background change , my game freeze for 1-2 seconds. I don't know what is causing this , audio drivers are updated on a Xonar D1 device. stops and restart randomly causing those freezes. am i the only having this issue ? the problem is quite simple : background music just stops -> causing freeze for 2 seconds -> music restarts all randomly zeroing music volume obviously do nothing and i really don't want to add a -ns string into poe starting options. try using -swa rather than -ns, if it still persists run the pack check program in the game folder(as admin) and make sure the files are all present and correct(verify the files if your on steam) Ancestral Bond. Another possible option is that your "freeze" is caused by resource loading of the audio file from HDD into RAM. This can cause a perf hit if your HDD access is slow or something. If you have an SSD or a RAMDisk, this shouldn't happen as the access speeds are much faster. Not sure if that is your problem or not, but it is another possible explanation for what you're seeing.
