I really like this game but installing on a new computer is a nightmare. Checking resources and allocation space takes forever. And on top of that the download speed fluctuates which results in a relatively slow download. The computer went on sleep mode and screwed up the download. Now I have to start again. Seriously, it's been almost two hours and I'm nowhere near playing this game. A 5 GB game shouldn't take this long to install. Planetside 2 which is almost 10 GB takes significantly less time to install than this game.

Rather than rant, you should be patient and constructive. This isn't the place to rant. This is the place to get Support. If you want to rant, that should be done in the feedback, suggestions, or general discussion forums.
As for Support... The download doesn't start over when you close and re-open it. It starts from wherever it left off. the 0% is REMAINING data. The numbers should be changing each time. It only needs to download the data that it doesn't have yet, or is partially downloaded. Make sure you're running as admin (right-click and select "Run as Administrator") and also make sure all antivirus/firewall/security software is disabled so it doesn't interfere. Finally, speeds are mainly because of regional content-delivery servers (separate from the PoE network). Sometimes changing your DNS servers can have an affect on speeds. I use google dns (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) and get great speeds most of the time. If I don't get good speeds, I close the launcher and re-open it. If you're still having issues after all of that, we might need to attempt to figure out what's going on with the downloads and see if something else could be having problems. |

lucky you, u can download it atleast... all i can do is to run the app and watch the 'checking resources' screen, then after 1 minute i get the connection failure window saying 'disconnected from patching server before patching completed. try again'. i have shitty 3mbps internet but i never had problems with connections and its completely bs for me.

" 1) make your own thread. Please refer to the "Rules" sticky post for more information. 2) Did you try using a VPN or some other service to see if it is something in your route? What about trying on a hard-wired connection if you're using wireless? Did you "Run as Administrator" and do you have antivirus/firewall/security software disabled? These are things that are important to know, and as I said before, you need to create your own thread for your own issue. |
