Tried several time to access the door in the garden to get the plum but the door is locked?

You need the complete the quest Piety's Pets before you can go through that door.

That door leads to Dominus, not the plum. As stated, you need to kill Piety to open it. What you're looking for is a zone called The Hedge Maze, which is found from within the Garden zone.
