How does Necromantic Aegis work exactly?

Well, it says all bonuses from my shield apply to minions instead of me. So what is a "bonus" exactly? Does that mean all stats like armour, evasion, energy shield and the upgrades etc. apply to my minions or what?
And will what stats of the shield still apply to me? Or is it like I don't wear a shield anymore? Thanks in advance :) |

All of the stats from the shield switch to the minions. But just how the actual support gems work in conjunction I don't know.

It will take all the stats from the item description pop up thing and slap it on your minions. If you have an ES Shield with 24% Block, 20 ES and +5% Fire Resist from a Magic affix, that's what your Minions will receive.
Buffs such as Tempest Shield and passives that grant bonuses 'while holding a Shield' are applied to you, not your Minions. They are not transferred, as such. |
