PLAYING IN PATH OF EXILE 4k WITHOUT 4K LED TO MY RECOMMENDATION PACH CREATORS OF EXILE
" What you describe is not an officially supported setting, you cannot configure that resolution in game. |
|
" You're manually implementing a form of SSAA (what the article calls "grid"). SSAA is among the most effective forms available, unfortunately it's also among the most computationally expensive. Due to the simplicity of implementation it was commonly used before the various more advanced methods were developed. I don't know what the low/medium/high settings in POE correspond to; but with it being a home brew engine I could easily see manually forced SSAA providing a decent boost in quality if you're able to push the pixels. Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? |
|
" Pretty sure POE uses either the god awful FXAA or infinitely superior SMAA antialiasing mode. When changing antialiasing in the game the games rendering engine doesn't reset to apply it which is why I'm pretty confident it doesn't use MSAA or SSAA. Computer specifications:
Windows 10 Pro x64 | AMD Ryzen 5800X3D | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard | 32GB 3600MHz RAM | MSI Geforce 1070Ti Gamer | Corsair AX 760watt PSU | Samsung 860 Pro 512GB SSD & Crucial MX 500 4TB SSD's |

I can understand rescaling 1080p resolution up to 2k. But anything more make fonts unreadable pixelated shit. And PoE UI don't scale with resolution and it's always too big (personal opinion).

pocas compus aguanta games a 4k de resolucion. ademas, esta resolucion aun no esta normalizada.

When I first read this, I thought you were asking for BeOS support...

" psst, don't wake up the dead... on topic: i see no reason behind the intention to try to feed the graphics driver with a resolution it can't forward to the display. the best solution always is to let the graphics card generate the exact amount of pixels the display is designed for (the native resolution of the display). that way nothing needs to be converted and scaled which often messes up the image. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! Oooooh. OP want's down sampling.
The Dark souls fix implemented this, and running it at 4k downsampled to 1080p is amazing. "Minions of your minions are your minion's minions, not your minions." - Mark

" I dont know much about video, but I feel that is like saying, yo when you convert this lossless .Wav into a lossy MP3 it sounds sooooo amazing. But I could be wrong. B E E F

Is this thread about downsampling/supersampling? I never tried this in PoE, but in other games it makes the visuals look much smoother. For supersampling to work, PoE must support MSAA. If it doesn't, you can still use downsampling, that works with pretty much every game.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
