Captain Fairgraves faith

I think we will see more lore in whatever else they are gonna add.
And conserning Fairgraves, i highly doubt we will see him anytime soon, but we might see more of the entity that finally wiped him out at the end of that quest in Act 3.

And thats what i'm more interested in :)
Fairgraves should be the theme of Act 4 >.>

Fairgraves 4 lyfe!

(I love Fairgraves, favorite npc by a long shot)
My personal opinion:

Fairgraves is the victim of a mutiny. Shipmates know that the captain can't be killed as long as the Allflame is in his possession. Slave Girl steals lantern and GTFOs, FG gets whacked.

At this point 1 of the following 2 things happen:
1) FG is still AF's master, even tough it's not in his immediate vecinity. AF works at reduced potency, keeping FG alive (more or less). Evidence to support theory: skellington FG, dead SG (because AF did not work for her).
2) SG is AF's new master. FG remains animated by his desire to get his trinket back (plenty of examples in fiction where people "cling to life" driven by desire for vengeance/thirst of knowledge/love/etc). Evidence to support theory: FG's inability to leave Siren's Cove (the region where he lost AF), SG's rather fresh looking corpse (either she died recently of natural causes => not saved by AF, or she did not know how to control AF => AF kinda works on its own, preserving the girl's corpse).

Either way, don't ask me who and/or why dragged a boat in an underground cave. I'm stumped.

Aaaanyway. FG wants to evade the banhammer. Plan #1: FG asks the player to bring AF, then commits suicide by cop. The plan fails because FG is already dead, however since his physical remains were destroyed and his burning desire quenched, FG's soul is now free to do whatever he wants. Instead of heading for the light, the idiot decides to try again. Plan #2: mix deadliest poison in the world with a substance which affects the soul, hoping to harm the soul that way and trigger a response from AF. First part of the plan works as intended, but AF only works on the living. As a result FG is visited by [GM]Angel_of_Death who issues a well-deserved permaban.

TL;DR Fairgraves didn't want to stay dead. Now he's dedead.

This is without a doubt the most ironic thing to ever happen in PoE.

Again some misunderstood the concept of irony.

Or quoting a wall of text when you don't have anything relevant to say.

There will be 7 more acts so its safe to say you get more fairgraves and lore about lots of NPCs.

Do you honestly still believe there will be 10 acts? I highly doubt there will be more than 4.

Hah, hahaha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Now that was one necro that made me smile ;-) Well deserved!
A sword he brought, his foes to maim and rend,
from places dark behind forbidden doors,
But night by night he woke with frighten'd roars
from darkest dreams, too strange to comprehend.

Spoiler
no fairgraves in Act 6 either, lol
Bit premature... we've not got 3.0 yet.
