Avoid Stun - How is it calculated?
So I was wondering how the x% chance to avoid stun nodes work.
From the mechanics thread, the stun chance is: " It seems likely that these nodes increase the defender_effective_max_life. That would imply that they are multiplicative with any normal +x% life nodes. It would also make them rather pointless unless you already have significant amounts of +x% life. With +100% life, three 8% stun nodes would decrase your chance to be stunned by about 20% (from 50 to 40 percent, or 25 to 20 etc). An equal amout of +8% life nodes would provide about 11% with respect to stuns, but also increase your total life by another 12%. Not all that impressive for a single-purpose-node. Any clarification on that? This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

"I am curious as to why you feel that's likely - that's overly complicated and means they don't actually provide the bonus they say. They're much simpler than that. If you would be stunned you have an X% chance to avoid that stun. Stun chance determines whether the hit is attempting to apply a stun, and if it is, you roll stun avoidance to avoid the stun. | |
I guess it just makes sense to me to have it all in one formula instead of subsequent checks :).
But thanks for the info! So the bonus is quite significant, that is nice. |

" This could use some clarification on the wiki then. Most of my friends drew the same conclusion. |
