Why would it be sad to use item rarity? I am 2-3 hitting most of mobs in maps. No need dps boost. But yeah, will link quality added lightning damage when i find one.

Or what would you prefer to link instead of rarity?

love the 1.5 aps and combined damage of 63-236. thats a raw dps of 224.25 ((63+236)/2) x 1.5

i see a lot of people going for the highest raw physical damage numbers they can with really slow bows. I know a lot of you are ele rangers trying to follow LA builds. Honestly, even though you feel like you're getting close to the lioneye because your raw damage you are forgetting some very important things. The biggest is your attack speed. Most of you are using static blows (myself included) to apply shock to increase your dps. Attack speed is the best way to keep shock on enemies. Another is that you are wayyy better off getting most of your bow damage from elemental sources (namely lightning)because your elemental damage on your bow gets multiplied by all those +ele damage mods on your gear and in your passive tree. So if you have combined (theoretically) from all your gear and passives 150 percent weapon elemental damage, that bonus applies to all the elemental damage on a bow. If you think in these terms, a fast bow with 50- 150 combined damage from fire lightning and ice with a super low physical damage would by FAR surpass a slow bow with 100-200 physical damage and very low elemental damage sources. I have tried both, but because only HALF of the physical damage gets converted with lightning arrow, and LA is only 70% damage effectiveness, you are wayy better getting a ton of lightning damage on a bow than a ton of physical. because your lightning damage doesnt get cut in half that way. After trying both LA and split arrow with static blows, i currently do more dps (and notably more LIGHTNING damage) with split arrow. I can post exact numbers if you'd like; but for me, with more damage, more lightning damage (thus more shock stacking with static blows) and way faster killing speed I use split arrow.

Please not that all this was only to provide an opinion and I am humble enough to admit i am no professional in path of exile, never played closed beta, but i have put a lot of time into the game as a self made ranger and easily solo all my map runs with all my gear found or crafted myself. My gear is far from perfect as is my knowledge of game mechanics so before I get chewed out by a POE vet.. I apologize in advance for any mechanics i screwed up in my post I'm just trying to pass along the information that I have found by trial and error in hopes to help anybody out there that could save any time or currency not reliving my mistakes.
