The best parental control software

Hi guys, I want to ask a parents for an advice concerning a parental control in the Internet. I was looking for some third - party software but there are so many of them that I feel totally confused. Do you use such a software? Please share your experience and give some suggestions. I was thinking about the Net Nanny or PCWebControl, what do you think about them?

Thanks for any suggestions

I´m not sure why you would want to control your parents,
but its pretty easy to track their Handynumbers via the web,
just google for handylocator. ex: http://www.flugga.com/
This way you can check if they really went to the theater.

Spoiler
chances are higher that your kids are way more educated in managing a computer than yourself, and if not such tools are a great way to teach them how to bypass them.

Its easier to teach them to handle their stuff themself.

The forbidden fruit is the most coveted. The more you attempt to control someone, the more they desire to do the opposite.

If there is a good reason for inhibition, then simply explain the reason in a calm logical tone.

Dont rely on some program to substitute for parenting. Even the best software cant catch everything, any clever person can find a way. Attempting to screen out search keywords is futile, sex has more innuendo... more seemingly benign phrases/words which double in subtext than any other concept in the history of mankind. Its the devil in the details. Keyword association can do a lot, dont get me wrong, but its still better IMO to use logic and understanding rather than attempting to outwit your child with dumb software.

If its porn youre worried about, i ask why? Masturbating is the most natural thing in the world.
For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete. My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

What will you do when your kids are about to use their mobiles for internet access?
Parental Control Software won't fix the issues lying underneath. It's also a rip-off in most cases.

My childhood friend had some strict parents and he got around by simply visiting me, craving for all the forbidden fruit neglected by his parents. How much are you willing to police your children?

As others said, it's always better to teach your kids to use modern technology in a responsible way. Teach them about the existence of bad internet websites filled with malicious software just ready to destroy their beloved toys. Educate them about avoiding such security risks by avoiding the sources themselves. Else they will simply get around the controls and learned nothing at all but how bad IT safety really is.

Sorry for not being able to answer your question directly.
Just the perspective of someone teaching kids IT stuff in elementary.

P.S. For the love of god, teach them to read the stuff which they are actually clicking on and also how they can get around if they get catched in some shitty pop-up ad. Also mobiles + internet are the Sodom and Gomorrah of current IT law, so always look for information on how to avoid traps while using mobiles with internet access yourself.

Hey, we are using Care4teen (http://www.care4teen.com/) to control our son's digital activity. It also has good firewall, cause parents take part in building it. Anyway, we control online gaming, internet surfing and even tracking his location with it. Highly recommend ;)
My friend has a son. When the son asked him - dad what is [Removed by support]? he simply told him that it's a website filled with viruses that will delete his Minecraft and LoL accounts. It worked.
Be ready. You're not paranoid, you're PREPARED.

I quit this game every few months and so should you to continue playing it in the future.

The device is believed to have been dropped

Just let the curious teens watch pron.

(b) Personal abuse, foul language, inappropriate subject matter, obscene, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory or defamatory remarks of any nature ... are not permitted.

- PoE TOS.
Lol, is this serious? Kids can get around all kinds of parental control crap, just let them do what they want to do.
Just random curiosity on sexuality is fine.
