Evasion/Block/Dodge

I think I read a GGG post saying blocking a hit is counted as a hit occurring that zero dmg was taken from.

Maybe someone could correct me if I'm wrong in my reading of the situation.
Where there's one they're bound to divide it right in two.

Not sure about that, but I do know you can get stunned as you didnt avoid it (when you block).

You aren't, blocking just prevents all damage. If your opponent has on hit or on crit effects they will trigger, for instance you get viper strike stacks or vulnerability curse from crabs or bears even if you block.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
