Vaal Fragment Farming Showcase

@shagsbeard

I've got a Level 10 one I don't want or need. Feel free to join me in a map, and we can "pretend" it dropped from a monster. That's still self found isn't it?

On-topic, I am loving the fragment runs. Much more fun than farming Dom or Piety, except when you end up getting the same zone 5 or 6 times in a row (I'm looking at you, Forgotten Oubliette).

I haven't really been keeping track of my drops, but I'll run some tonight and post.

EDIT

So, ran 50 over the last couple of nights, mostly Dawn/Dusk but also a few Noon.

Spoiler

Nothing awesome as a unique, and only a couple of decent rares which I still vendored because I too lazy to put them into my trade.

Going to don my IIQ/IIR gear (33/102) and see if I can do better tomorrow.

Massive thanks to GGG for producing such a fun and engaging game, it has taken up faaaaaaar too much of my life over the last 5 years.

Best of luck in the future!

The addition to run corrupted zones with these fragments is one of the best thing they have added. It provides such a good balance of farming imo.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one enjoying this new farming method. In all honesty I find it just as fun as mapping except you can almost guarantee that you will eventually make large amounts of profit.

And I know we will all get the dry streaks. trust me I have. My first half of the tab i'm running only yielded 2 midnight's. and Now I'm 6 frags in and 4 midnight's have dropped.

All I can say to anyone farming with me is to keep at it :D

EDIT: Make that 5, 3 back-to-back-to-back

BUMP
It would be better if there was a secondary method to get the game to generate Vaal skills... like as a quest reward where you get to pick. Too many players play Solo/self-found for skills to be gated by RNG.
Can you explain your method of farmin? Do you just put vaal fragments in the map machine? How do you know that a vaal fragment is guaranteed to drop in return? Did you farm low rarity fragments before starting using them as maps? What area lvl is it if you use it in the map machine?
I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

at least with the load time bug you could spot a zone without having to run it but it still the best place as the zone are always at the start !

I just farm City of sarn on merc for my petty frags. And you will also get a couple midnights on the way which is very nice. I got 12 filling up my tab for this round, which was 4ex in just midnights. Afterwards just run your petty frags on the map machine one at a time. You can't guarantee any frags will drop, I've even had drystreaks lasting like 10 frags only getting gems which really blows. My best advice is to just keep at it. Also try to do as many chaos recipes and gather all the chromes and jewl recipes you can which will also turn out to a couple extra exalts.

Thx for answering but what lvl is the area when you create it in the map device?
