why duelist is so unpopular?

The new stuff of the last 4 months was mostly spell gems and a Marauder start region change. Duelist hasn't gotten much to get excited about recently so playing other characters is more interesting.

to me this is the reason why duelist is so unpopular.

there is no choice involved for the duelist.
this whole screen is full of underpowered and boring nodes.

the only time people ever take something from there is when they travel through for unwavering stance or for iron grip + the two sword & life nodes.

you can only evolve your duelist by either leaving his start left or leaving it the the right, staying where you are is hardly ever worth it.

thats why nobody builds duelists.

You can't say honestly that showing a section of the tree containing Unwavering Stance and Iron Grip lol.

There are really good nodes in there, when DW will have some more love ( if it ever does ), people may be attracted more by this area.
Also the axe nodes are really nice.

a section of the tree is definetely not find if people only ever skip all but 2 of the nodes in that section.

almost every build is wasting points when investing into nodes in this area

He has a very big head, too easy to get killed by headshot.

duelist passiv skill tree got nurfed by around 3 points when they redid the whole VP placement.

The nodes there are some of the most powerfull ones if your pathing is good. 50% Armour for 3, 72% phys 2% ias for 5. That are average values you dont find anywhere else, well, only between ranger and shadow the 4 clusters, which are pretty damn op too.

I've never seen a build that travels through that area (east from IG keystone), when it's a main course is the edge of the tree on the south.

There are no life nodes there, that's the key.

The AR/EV nodes are garbage, AR nodes aren't important when the game is almost balanced around Immortal Call and you can easily get 100%+ AR from nodes without those 50%, all those DPS nodes are easily found elsewhere point-wise.

That area fucking sucks.
