Flame surge ignores aoe?

I place FS into my polearm that had +20 aoe support.
I tested it, both times the distance is exactly the same, zero change.
There's no real cone to FS is there? If, it's unnoticable too.
Is the item bugged or what?
Don't have a stand alone +aoe gem to test FS in other gear.
Can anyone else confirm this?

I didn't notice any significant change either after linking it with conc effect
Taking massive shrine did nothing as well, although it's a really huge buff

Just tested, it works. Inc eff and conc eff works as intented, with carcass also.

Here with weapon and without. U can clearly see the difference.

increased area of effect (at least in that polearm) doesnt change anything for me, shoots equally far with or without it. Just the tooltip showing up doesnt mean it works.

Right, everything working fine, it's a bit difficult to see the increase based on skill effect but it's there. The effect probably doesn't scale visually.

make auto shrink for pictures in your forum

It does work, it's just that you need a lot of AoE to have a noticeable difference.
