Town Portal & Inventory
Creating opportunity cost through time is part of how GGG regulates the economy. If all blues could be instantly ID'd and vendored, then there would be a lot more alts, and by extension jewellers and fusings, in the economy. This isn't desirable. Part of learning to play the game is learning what is worth your time to take back and vendor, and what isn't. In general, while leveling, blues aren't worth it unless it's a slot that could conceivably be upgraded by a blue piece of gear (for instance, jewellery).
If you're really selling every blue you come across, you're either running out of wisdoms faster than you're making them, or selling them unid'd and making transmutes at an agonizingly slow pace. None of this is worth your time, and that's by design. The broader question of why so much shit drops that you aren't supposed to pick up is a bit more complicated. Suffice to say that even at endgame, items of all rarities can be useful, but it requires a good deal of literacy to know when and why. So no, having a TL2 pet would not be good for PoE, because in PoE you're supposed to be making decisions about what to loot rather than picking up every single item and loading down your dog with them. Calling out someone who's trying to help you as being uninterested in the "experience" (theorycrafting, by the way, is very much a part of the experience) is totally unproductive and presumptuous. If you just started playing, you don't understand the reasons for the systems. For example: " This is a losing game on purpose. You are the one disrupting your own play experience by trying to wring water from a rock. I think Noperative's guide contains some pretty good practical advice on what/how to loot early on. |
