Use for 5 button mouse

I wonder if there's gonna be any patch in the future that will allow people with mouse that has more than 3 buttons to allocate the skills?
I would rather put 2 extra skills on mouse for ease of access, even the skill on middle mouse isn't perfect because too often I simply zoom in/out during hectic battle while trying to unleash my special ability.
It's not game-breaking problem obviously it's just to make things better.
Silly torchlight 2 allows you to allocate the skills to any button of the mouse anyway you like, so I don't think its a problem to implement.
Thank you. :)

I forgot about this issue actually, I want this as well. :)

What kind of mouse are you using? I use a Razor Naga, and the way its buttons work is they act as 12 keys from the keyboard (default is 1-=). This means you can go ingame to options>keys and reset the skills on the Q, W, E, R, T keys to 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 if you wanted to use them on your mouse (but this would obviously need to move your flask hotkeys to use them).

As far as the middle mouse button, you can't change that one as far as I know, and sadly its the one I find most awkward to use. Usually an aura ends up there for whatever character I'm playing on.

Fairly simple w/less mouse with 2 extra buttons at the left side to click on with your thumb.
I know the Razor ones but they're over-complicated :P
For the middle button, agree. It's the most awkward one and i use SWEEP skill on it, as i don't have to aim it. Just click it while surrounded by mobs. ;]

I find it silly that it isn't possible to bind every key, but it's not that big of a problem really.
Surely every major mouse maker provides you with a software to bind your buttons as you want. Even if they don't, I assume you can get some freeware program for it.

I'm currently using a logitech mouse with basic 3 buttons and 2 thumb ones (and 3 extra one on the top).
With Logitech's own program I've set it to bind the thumb ones with R and T when I'm running poe.exe
Then I just set the skills I like to R and T.

But yeah, it is odd that you can't bind mouse4,5,6... in the game itself.

Oh, and about the middle mouse zooming thing. You can lock it from the options, so it won't zoom in and out form the scroll

5 BUTTONS?!? your mouse obviously wasnt designed by apple =P
You know what they say, the genius lies in simplicity xD

wait you got a 5 button mouse and it didnt come with software to change what all the buttons do??? I just set my mouse 4,5,6 to e,r,t. not that hard.
While they might allow you to rebind your skill to whatever key/mouse button at some point, I do not think they will let you bind more skill button then the 8 available right now. So you can easily do what you want with a binding program anyway.
Like I said, it's not a big issue, more of a surprise that basic thing like that isn't in game from the beginning and Im forced to 'play with biding program' I don't have to change it.
Will need to buy new mouse so it seems :P
