Multi-strike/Whirling Blades - Broken

Multi-strike is supposed to work on "all" melee damage based gems to have them repeat twice however whirling blade(melee), has no effects from this gem. This broke my entire spec I was playing so if there will be no fix please reset my skill tree. Thanks in advance

It does work. It's just a really bad idea since the game randomly chooses the second and third targets, leaving you out of control of your character and prone to desync.

I've tested it all day,it doesn't work lol. It does one attack, nothing more nothing less. however I do agree about the desync, It's pretty terrible "sometimes".

I was ready to support you with answer (and some advices like "not to use on crossed terrain"), but logged into the game and checked.

Thank you for being a secondary tester :). The big issue is why desync'ing is such a huge issue. I believe if a skill obviously has major desync'ing issue's one of two things should happen.

1. Gem removed till fix/better adjusted to the server's problems

or

2. Fixing the desync somehow. I know about the threads on the forums about how desync isn't "fixable" but I've seen many games like this that have a way cheaper budget have no where near this bad of desync lol.


(edit): before someone says it's my internet.. no, just no stop it. I have very nice internet and a 4 grand computer lol.

In that case, I guess I am wrong. Could have sworn the support worked with that gem.

Probably because whirling blades is primarily a movement skill and scarcely used for damage at all.
Can't say i've ever seen it work with multi strike, i'd tested it months ago and it never worked then either.

Also bare in mind that while some combinations of skills and supports will incur the mana multipliers the don't necessarily work as stipulated but the supported melee attacks on multistrike.

Skill Functions and Interactions

You can't hit the same monster more than once with the same skill use.

When Dual Wielding, hits are dealt with either the main or off hand weapon, chosen at random.

Attack speed increases the speed of the entire animation (and your movement), including the 'recovery' part at the end.

You cant hit the same monster more than once with the same skill use

Since whirling blades hits multiple targets on a skill use(single button press) multi strike can't follow up because the nearest target has already been hit.

As for a respec...not going to happen outside the 4 month league resets.
