Rare Rings

There's no real need to stash anything but rings, belts, amulets.

Once a stash tab is almost full with these 3 types, I start doing a lot of chaos recipes in a row.

But keeping the rest and waiting for the rarer parts seems to be a waste of stash space...

Yup. I do it in a similar manner. I keep belts, ammys and rings and one set of the rest in a stash tab. Every time I get a fill I sell the set to vendor and restock armor etc. asap. Keeping one tab for 60+ gear and one for 75+ is advisable though. It is too inefficient to sell combined 60+ and 75+ gear for chaos.

I know Regals are worth more than Chaos in theory, but it can be really annoying to have regals, not chaos, as nobody accepts them as payment and trading them to chaos can take forever.

That's why I deliberatly mix the sets up to get chaos instead of Regals.

When playing 75+ maps for a while, I will buy stuff from A3M vendors, alch it, mix it into the recipe, just that I don't get a regal. ;)

I have at least a couple of dozen pieces of jewelry I'd like to yolo regal. So I'd gladly take a few stacks of regal of your hands at 1:1 chaos ratio. Everyone happy, eh?

Getting 0 rings in 10 levels is little extreme. They drop more rare than weapons and armor, but not that rare. Probably you should have done Lunaris 3 instead of Docks and Fellshrine - much better drops from Piety, you get multiple rings every hour.

I completely forgot that id'd rares give 1 chaos. 2 if qual'd. When I get my 5th ring while waiting for an ammy I usually just id and vendor...But using an alc to make an id'd ammy makes soooooo much sense.

I hit lvl 71 about half an hour ago and finally found one in a map. Unfortunately, it's a Gold Ring so I'm tempted to ID it just in case it's awesome. :(

But I'll give Piety a try, sounds more promising. Docks and Fellshrine were just safe zones to level. My character's a lot tougher now.

I'm surprised people are mostly having trouble with Amulets, I have five of them sitting in my stash while waiting for rings:



Got plenty of belts too. It's just damn rings. Starting to think I might be on a bad loot table for rings or something.

If you have sufficient Alchs, you can make un-id'd rings and amulets by picking up white (or blue and an orb of scouring), alch to rare and trade three id'd rare for one un-id'd rare. all must be 60+ for this to work.

Alchs can be farmed in normal relatively easily.

that would be worth it if you're missing one piece for regal, but value wise...not for chaos recipe.
