Unwavering Stance

Does the 'cannot be stunned' perk from the "Unwavering Stance" passive also apply to the 'Frozen' effect from mobs that can freeze you? or is "Frozen" considered a different status ailment even though for all intents and purposes it's just like a stun?

freeze =/= stun

if you are having freeze problems i suggest trying to get a "heat" property on one of your flasks

No, stunned and frozen are two different states.

They are different. Duration for frozen is calculated by percentage of your total life done in cold damage by the attack or spell. Stun is always 1/3 of a second, modified by the attacker's stun duration increases and your stun recovery modifiers.

And, to put a finer point on it, I'm not sure that stun is even considered a "status ailment".

basically, stun happens when you get attacked, i wont go into details, but it depends on health/ES, and stance makes it so you simply never get stunned

freeze, shock, ignite, those are status ailments, its another category which stance does not have any affect on afaik
Thanks guys.

It sounds like the simple answer is that 'no, unwavering stance doesn't prevent frozen'.

Well... poop.

Nothing can shut down status ailments completely. That's what makes elemental damage so damned dangerous. =J
there are certain unique items that make it so that you can't suffer a certain status ailment

i think the dream fragments sapphire ring prevents frozen(example) and the fairgraves' tricorne stops shock :D

oh yes, you'll hate shock later, you are taking damage nice and steady at a pace you can handle, when suddenly...three shock stacks out of nowhere and your hp disappears.

There are unique items that prevents being frozen like wanderlust boots and dream fragments. So you need to get ona. But they not prevent being chilled.
IGN: KimELF, I encourage every player before making a thread to use Search option, Yes forum has that!
Indeed it does

In Wraeclast, if someone tries to kill you... you just kill them right back.
