New player

Hi to all the community!
I am a new player from Italy and I'm downloading the game via Steam... a friend of mine advised me to do so since after installing I was stuck at "checking updates" and then it failed to download the bulk of the game.
I played DDO for a while, mostly solo, and I hope I will enjoy this game! I quit that game because at the end it was just constant repetition of the same quests over and over, the grinding was exhausting, frequent lag and it was rapidly developing into a pay-to-win.
I like to explore dungeons filled with monsters and treasure, I like to heavily customize my characters (over 1300 "options" to choose from sounds about right) and I like to play CPRPGs like Baldur's Gate and tabletop RPGs like Pathfinder.

Good day to everyone and I hope to become part of this community for a while, and sorry if I misplaced this post, but I failed to find a "welcome" section :)
Welcome, Krinn83!

I hope you enjoy the game :) If you have any questions about anything, feel free to contact us at support@grindinggear.com

Hi there. :)

Enjoy your stay.
Welcome!

Have fun!
The Albino Marauder.
Enjoy your stay! <3
Thanks everyone for the welcome! :)
I've been reading around, and I think I'll like the gold-less economy, random areas and deep personalization of items, not mentioning the tangled skill web!
Skill gems and support gems seem a bit complicated after a quick reading but I'm sure I'll learn how to use them in game...
I bookmarked the wiki, thanks!
The game will be downloaded in a minute, then I'll just have to install and hopefully start playing... if I'll encounter any problems, I'll report back here shortly but hopefully I won't. :)
Welcome :)

If you need help with the game, feel free to send me a PM. ZiggyD has also made a number of great poe tutorials on YouTube that might be worth to check out...

So we turned Gorge into a red map"

Don't forget to take screenshots with F8!

I liked DDO as well but the repetition does grow on your quickly. Unfortunately this game is not very quest driven, as DDO was. But there will be PLENTY of monsters to hunt and an outstanding amount of character progression.

Stay alive Exile!

Yes, screenshots are fun.

Remember when I won a screenshot contest and made everyone butt-hurt? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
