GGG and their own "Official" forum...
Didn't you know that it is expected that a game company would answer more questions in their own forums than in a foreign one. I can easily understand that as humans we're more likely to go where there is more praise than complaints but as the lead developer of a game it seems strange for Chris to mostly avoid the tough questions in the official game forums and seek out easier ones on a forum that has more praising fans and therefore fewer difficult questions. It is true that free time is free time and as such he can do whatever he wants, and if that means answering a few questions on Reddit then that is his prerogative. It just looks weird though.
"You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..." Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration. The perfect solution to fix Trade Chat: www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2247070 Last edited by Arrowneous#3097 on Apr 20, 2014, 2:56:42 PM

Just to go over some misconceptions:
- Devs post far more often on these forums. Many never even post on reddit. - The PoE subreddit is technically an official forum of PoE. It was created by Chris so it's not a fanforum. - Reddit has a superior system when it comes to sorting topics. Many topics made on here tend to be a repeat of the same things that have been responded to. - People should be happy that devs interact with the community so much on multiple platforms. It's astonishing how I have never seen this in any other game. Devs are so responsive that people get so picky where they post. |
