How Does A +10% Accuracy Rating Node Work?
I don't actually understand how accuracy rating on nodes works.
Example node: A node called "Accuracy" says "+10% increased accuracy rating" Now, what does that mean? Does it take your base Accuracy from Dex (+2 per Dex point) then multiply that by 110%? Example math: Base Templar Dex is 14, so 28 accuracy rating. Accuracy node says 28 x 1.10 = 28 + 2.8 = 30.8 total accuracy rating now? Seems pretty crap if that is how this works, because until you have 200 base dexterity you'll be gaining less accuracy for taking "Accuracy" than you would for just taking another crappy +10 Dex node. This observation makes me question if that is how the +10% Accuracy node actually works, because it would be completely useless. An alternative interpretation of Accuracy could be that it adds a flat 10 to your accuracy value? In that case it is 50% worse than a regular +10 Dex node. Still no good. I doubt that is what it means either. So what does this node actually do? Last edited by EmeraldWitch#6527 on Jan 31, 2013, 2:03:35 PM

You get accuracy points each time you level up as well.
You can check your actual accuracy value on the character panel. Needless to say, +10% is going to be better than a small dex node almost always in terms of accuracy gained. Last edited by jonts26#1008 on Jan 31, 2013, 2:06:01 PM

Yeah it multiplies from your base accuracy.

" We get 2 accuracy per level. So if you are a Templar or a Witch (both start with 14 dex), you'll have only 58 accuracy at level 15 if you don't have any item with +dex or +accuracy. So, at that point, a +10% accuracy nod will grant you an additional 5.8 accuracy while a 10 attributes nod will grant you 20. In that case, the dex nod is clearly superior. However, if your character is lvl 50 with 250 dex and 400 accuracy from items, your total accuracy will be 1000. A +10% accuracy nod will grant you an additional 100 accuracy vs 20 from the dex nod. I have a feeling your mixing up accuracy RATING with hit chance.
accuracy rating is just a rating, its a value used in to measure how well you'll hit the enemy. your hit chance is the actual percentage to hitting the enemy. there are many factors to consider here. the reason why they went with accuracy rating is because your chance to hit should be stable throughout the game. but this also means you should have to upgrade your gear in order to keep your accuracy on par with your enemies. otherwise you'll start to see a drop in accuracy as you level up without upgrading your gear. if it was just a percentage then as you progress, you dont feel weaker if you dont upgrade you gear. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/120959 My guides
