Does increased rarity drop chance realy work?
Does increased rarity drop chance realy work?
Or does anyone know the "how does it work" of this stat? Since im running around with like 130% increased rarity chance on drops and i dont see a difference. |

take off your +130% gear for a while and see if you notice the difference

I don't know the drop rates. But lets say you have 1% to get a rare. With 130% increase thats 2.3% chance. It's hard to notice, though it can make a big difference. It's all about luck.

I'm running with +45% and I definitely see the increase.
Basically, your drops give you (made up numbers here) X items which are 80% white, 15% blue, 4% yellow and 1% unique. Bonus rarity of 100% should give as I understand it 30% Blue, 10% Yellow 2% unique and 60% white (remember made up numbers here). So you're just redistributing to get more loot rolls that are magic/rares/uniques. It does not improve the quality of the items, but by getting more rolls you have a higher chance to get a good quality item out of what you find. I definitely see the spike in blues when I pushed for the extra rarity stats. Rare's are uncommon enough that it's hard to judge over short term, and I've never seen a unique. Also remember if you're partying it's the killers rarity bonus that matters. |

I prefer item quantity over item rarity, although it seems harder to get equips with item quantity though =x

Also dont forget those are support gems so unless you kill the mob with the skill that the support gems are supporting you wont see an increase in rarity or drops, but for just stats from armor you definately do see a difference I am running around with only 100% increase and I notice a difference especially in cruel and above, only got 6 uniques so far but still good for me

" Go to Act II final boss on normal difficulty and farm a few kills on him (assuming you're much higher level). This is a good way to farm rare drops such as various currency orbs and rare rings. And yes, item quantity and rarity do work but I don't know the exact formula. It is best to have a good mix of rarity and quantity instead of stacking just one or the other.
