Yes, that's why the other guy said to remove mutli-strike for that fight, so you stop sooner. Maybe replace with a melee damage gem. Not really sure why you need lgoh, you could have added fire or something else in there.

Throw some whetstones on that axe! It's not bad at all and would really appreciate the dps improvement.

im using life on hit, because i dont have mana leech atm, and life on hit+cyclone+multi seems to give alot of health so,, alrite i could try with those other gems then

Yes, multistrike rocks for Cyclone but it causes desync and loss of control so for a fight where you need to dodge quickly it's better to remove it.

I'm in the same boat. Melee kill on Dom is probably the hardest way to do it, IMO. For me, the worst part is how slow my char feels. Not sure if it's built that way or if it's just because of the extreme graphics, but it feels like everything is underwater. Dodging is almost impossible it seems. By the time he gives his tell, it's too late to avoid it. My computer isn't optimized for gaming, but it's brand new, so should be able to handle it okay. So I dunno. I'll say this much... It's lucky that fight is at the end, because if I had "enjoyed" (*cough*) that experience in the first few days, I would have passed on this game entirely. I like a lot of things about this game, but that particular fight...hate it. Not because Dom is too tough, but just because it feels like my char isn't half as reponsive in that map as in other maps.

yes - well he's completely out of balance with the rest of the area as you've just found.

level doesn't matter.

you need 4k life and max resists.

also too, better have a really good aoe to help with the unique minions and the stupid cold totems.

OK, this thread is nearly 2 weeks old, but still ...

You said your resistances werent great but you did'nt take Diamond Flesh.
Why?

Instead you went for Iron Reflexes. But all the gear you linked is pure Armour and you're not running Grace.
IR is completely useless to you!

3.
You're heading towards Thick Skin, I think. But you do ignore Life nodes that are right next to your path (Duelist start area and before Bloodless)
Waste of points!

4.
The next nodes I'd take would be Phalanx, Holy Strength and Elemental Adaption.

5.
Agility and Quickness will help you keep up with the Dex reqiurements of Cyclone.
