Sign into non-steam client with steam account

So I am trying to sign in my poe steam account on the non-steam client. I tried linking my steam to a fresh account barely made with the same email as my steam but it says the original account will have everything deleted from it which i dont know if its talking about my steam or my fresh account. I cant sign into the non-steam client with steam id cause i created a new account with the same details and there is nothing on that account. Please help, Thanks!

We might be able to assign an email address and password to your Steam account. This will allow you to access the standalone game client Steam account details.

I am trying to do the same, i hear the POE through the steam is not as reliable and i would like to log into my old acct from steam.
i tried "changing password" as well as "change email" though neither seem to work with the linked steam account. Please help, i would like to play... thank you, |

" Could you please start your own thread and clearly describe what you're trying to do? "The same thing" is not descriptive and doesn't necessarily help in all cases. Are you trying to play the stand-alone client with the Steam-only account? If so, you'll need to email support to get an email address attached to the account. An account started in Steam only has access from Steam and there is no way for an end-user to change this directly themselves. Also, if your problem IS the "same" as the original post, then Jared already answered what you needed to do. I recommend fully reading a thread before replying as often times, the solution has already been given. |
