I Play Diablo III Because of Path of Exile's Problems
" You made the grave mistake of criticizing PoE in the feedback forum so all the white knight trolls will jump on you for making a factually accurate critical statement. |
|
" Do you even read the posts, and to what they were originally responding too? I'm going to assume not. EDIT: What my original response was saying, was that there is RMT in D3. Nothing more, nothing less. Just because when other people make feedback posts, they don't rant, cuss, TYPE IN CAPS, does not mean they're a white knight. Plenty of things I find wrong with PoE, I just discuss them in a manner is more suited to actual discussion. Which unfortunately means they get knocked off the front page rather quickly. Or get buried by other posters complaining about x. " Last edited by SL4Y3R#7487 on Apr 19, 2014, 9:38:05 PM

" Please don't try to give yourself more credit than you deserve. Your posts are all about 10 words long and never contain any particularly difficult to understand content. People mentioned that RMT is a problem in PoE. Your rebuttal was (and I quote) "There's still RMT in D3 though...." Nevermind that RMT in D3 is now signficantly less of a problem than PoE right now and that there's considerably less incentive to RMT in D3 because the loot and crafting system makes acquiring gear on your own actually viable. Ecogen rightfully called you out on your behavior about comparing a minor problem to a major one and trying to whitewash them both as equal. |

" I actually highlighted the portion I was responding to. Cheers EDIT: And *nowhere* did I say they were equal. Last edited by SL4Y3R#7487 on Apr 19, 2014, 9:39:29 PM

" So after your one line of "There's still RMT in D3 though...." and you were rightfully jumped on by people who explained exactly why RMT is a bigger problem in PoE, you decided to respond with a similarly terse... " And then you want to argue about how you weren't claiming they were equal. Well, I suppose not. You could have just been talking to hear yourself talk, but that's no better or more constructive. Congrats. |

" Why mention that RMT exists in Diablo 3 when it is virtually non existent? Who would RMT for paragon levels when it is actually fun to kill shit on your own and actually level, acquire gear, craft gear, etc? On a realistic scale, RMT is non-existent in Diablo 3 now and shouldn't even be mentioned at all. I can say RMT exists in Marvel Heroes, but who the fuck would actually RMT in that game (outside of the actual real cash shop). It's like saying RMT exists in Borderlands 2. It could I guess, but I certainly haven't seen it. Since the RoS expansion, I haven't seen any kind of RMTing for Diablo 3, meanwhile I see people walking around with 1k worth of exalts in their stash in PoE and Chris turning a blind eye to it. Well, I agree PoE needs to fix a few things, but over all the game is very good. What many of the players despise is the idea by GGG devs/full time streamers is that not everyone should reach Level 100. As if anyone really cares if someone else reaches L100. I do not admire those people anymore than anyone else. I think it's just another way to divide the community in a negative way. If GGG wants to give players recognition give them specific race/league cosmetic gear for their accomplishments. In my opinion, a players should be able to reach L100 within 1000h hours of game play without XP loss. There must be a balance. In stead they do their best to kill everyone off and this frustrates players. It hurts the largest part of the community as a whole. I enjoy the game either way, but I see how it affects my mature older friends. What is the definition of a casual player? I play 30+ hours a week in many leagues and yet I consider myself casual. Also I can understand people frustration regarding currency drops and how it affects the community. I've been lucky enough to get a legacy KH & a Mirror which I was able to sell high and buy nearly anything I want, but for those not as lucky, good luck getting anything.

" Correct. I was being terse. But my point still stands, which you and others even agreed with. The *only* point I was making was that RMT exists in D3 still. That was it. @allbusiness people RMT because it's the quickest way to get ahead. A game could be the best there ever was made, and people would still spend money to get around playing it to get ahead. |

" Yes, but if that's your point you're just being a stick in the mud. Of course there's probably some people out there that RMT in D3. It's not really worth it and players aren't incentivized to do so, so post-RoS it's pretty much been non-existent. It's like allbusiness stated, I'm sure there are people who RMT in Borderlands 2 but so what? It doesn't affect you, the economy, or anything worth mentioning. In PoE you have tons of incentive to RMT. Gear is freely tradable and the difference between maxed out corrupted gems and elite gear worth dozens or hundreds of exalts vs what the average player can expect to come across is orders of magnitude different. Even trying to progress in endgame benefits from RMT because money = more maps = more playtime. RMT in POE is a BIG problem. RMT in D3 is a minor, inconsequential problem. That's why people are scratching their heads wondering why you even care to bring it up. There are people willing to pay real money for trainers to single player games too, but I'm not sure why that's relevant to anything. |

" What? People don't RMT in Marvel Heroes because it is useless to do so. RMTing in Diablo 3 is useless; RMTing in PoE is not. This is exactly why it is actually pretty dumb to even mention that RMT exists in Diablo 3, because currently it is realistically non-existent. Considering people can power level to 70 in literally 20 minutes or less, it's actually redundant and actually a huge waste of money to RMT in Diablo 3. The only reason to RMT in Diablo 3 would be to trade accounts/buy accounts, but that's much easier to catch than the current RMT going on in PoE.
