Is there a way to be curse immune?
I wonder if there is a way to get immune to curses.
Maybe some unique have this property? I found this body armour called Soul Mantle who really seems godly for a searing bond build. It gives an extra totem as well as spell damage and totem life. However, the armour have a really bad stat where you get cursed with a random lvl20 curse when a totem dies. So i wonder if there is a way to prevent this and get "curse immune". Any ideas? |

Only flask.
Just so you know, curses can stack indefinitely when applied via soul mantle, and resummoning a totem counts as it dying too. Also, Atziri's mirror doesn't reflect those curses to enemies because they didn't apply them to you in the first place. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

So, the Soul Mantle armour is pretty much useless then, or?
It it worth any currency, it's in Ambush? |

i dont think a 3rd searing bond would be worth the effort using this armor.
the real purpose is imo to get 2 searing bonds without losing the ability to deal dmg urself, so if u build a high lvl experimental build with another main attack u can use that 20sec mana flasks(50/33+curse immunity) for curse immunity, just make sure ur mana never reaches max. for other totem builds it might be even stronger and maybe worth 3 totems dunno but in reality its hard to make good use of it ;P and its not worth much use poe.xyz.is |

" Yeah, I got one char that wears two of them, he also uses two shields :) Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" I also was thinking just use 2 totems Searing Bond with the ability to use other skills to complement attack (who isn't possible if you take the 2nd totem key-passive). Using a long duration manaflask with curse removal would work but how do i manage to prevent my mana from reaching max and stop the manaflask curse protection? It would be hard to constantly watch manalevel to spam a skill or spell when almost full mana. There must be some smart trick to make this work somehow. |

" That would be hard to measure and keep stable with gems and character leveling up. Besides if i make mana stand still or regen very slow with mana flasks active what would i use for the casting of the spells, BM? Hmm, Blood Magic... Maybe if i could go full BM with huge life and only have mana for this curse immune purpose... Nahh... it might work in theory but will be almost impossible pull off. I think the Soul Mantle can be used, maybe even very effectively, but it will require very much spamming of remove curse mana/life flasks. If there were a unique who made one curse immune it would be godly. But, there are new uniques coming constantly, maybe soon it will be in high demand. It would not surprise me if a new unique comes with a stat like "Immune to curses at low life" or similar. I really thought there were a unique who had some similar stats but maybe not. That would be exactly what one would need to use this armour very effectively. |

The only unconventional way I know to protect yourself from curses is:
1) Have a build with maximum 1 curse. 2) Equip Shackles of the Wretched unique (curses cast from this item are reflected back to you) 3) Put a curse in the gloves that won't affect you (probably Punishment) 4) When you are loaded with curses from Soul Mantle, curse a mob and replace those curses with just the one curse of your choice. I had a lot of fun with a Soul Mantle Searing Bond build - rather than using the third totem for SB why not make it a Lightning Warp totem? You can use Static Blows, Prolif and Ele Equilibrium to shock mobs and reduce fire resist, and LW will place the beams for you too. Here's my attempt from early in the nemesis league: Searing Warp Scion. That was before the Shackles were released so I am using warding flasks, also the 400% searing bond damage buff hasn't happened by the time of that video. |
