Programmable buttons on a mouse

If you try and put 2+ actions to the mouse button you can be banned if they find out.

Can someone confirm if this is a true statement?
For example, if I have a macro to a key which sends skill 1 and then skill 2. Is that not permitted?

What is the reasoning behind this since that person is bound to the same number of skills?

I'm no expert, but it seems like a cheating - so instead of spending double the time on pressing two keys in order to perform two actions (not to mention mental capabilities of human brain), you have a program doing what otherwise you would need to do yourself.

on G500, all buttons except the 2 dpi buttons and the central thumb button are recognized in the game. Personally, I've assigned middle click to an /oos macro to one of those buttons, with delays between inputs as required by GGG (20 ms as far as I remember), and the thumb button is mapped to the keyboard key '2' for regular game commands.

When two witches watch two watches, which witch watches which watch?
If the witches watching watches watch the same watch while you watch which witch watches which watch, they switch watches; then, the watch switching witches watch which watch you watch.
Watching witches watch watches is not for the faint of heart...

So on the offtopic note, are you satisfied with the mouse?

Any problems with tracking, and with the mouse in general?

How did it perform for you so far? How long have you had it?

I did not yet purchase mine, and am torn between Deathadder and g500s.

If it comes with somewhat decent software you can just bind a existing key to a button, otherwise you can use AHK for the same thing. (will have to ID the mouse buttons though)

I understand this. And this is why I hate that everything is Online and competitive. Back in the old 'playing a true single player game not having to worry about anyone else' this would not be a problem.

The problem that arises for me is I am handicap with a slight deformity in my right hand so I just want to be able to do what other people do. I wish there was an opt-out contract that basically said 'I will not compete in ladders or events in exchange for the use of macros so I may enjoy your game to the fullest'

I will say I am glad my account has not been banned.

Yes, yours is just one of many consequances of online-only ruinining today's games.

Unfortunately, this is the future of gaming for a long time to come.
