Why no updated Shavs 3D art?

well they certainly had the time and resources to do so for so many other uniques?even the much more recent ones and including certain chest armors as well.heck they even made a completely new microtransaction set!which i am sure required more resources to do so.

the question is why devote those resources to rather unpopular uniques and newer ones instead of an all time favourite which has been around for an exceedingly long time already?


Some are done long before and need final work. Some are partially done. Some, they're not happy with (Kaom's Heart had its old 3D model on the local realm for well over a year.) and go back into the works for another round of iteration. Some are also a lot easier to do. Some need particle effects also. Some diaternals are very picky with 3D art.

Lets just say that from what I know, the art department is very busy. Very, very busy.

There is a post somewhere from a dev about shavs saying that barely anyone really uses it over 90 and those that do die constantly.
yea i much rather there was better art for shavronnes than better art for something like hyrie's ire

One could argue the fact its one not all that available and or that used. Hence diverting resources to it vs other more commonly used items would be resource mismanagement.

Check the list of what's been done and what hasn't. It's all over the place.

I waited almost a year to get my first model. I'd say that unique fire effect and the intricacy of the model probably kept it from being top priority. As far as Shavronne's Wrappings is concerned, goodness knows why it hasn't been done yet. But I'd be pretty annoyed if GGG did work to a schedule of popular items getting their skins first. Very.


I guess its just a matter of small team and having to do a lot of not only 3d modeling, but texturing and various animations and then model placement, particle effects, enchantment effects and then seeing how each item acts holistically in the game.
When you find a seriously epic item and equip it, and it looks like butthole, it just leaves you feeling off.

When I used to play WoW, I would get that epic piece of gear and BAM epic visuals to match.

You can have like 1000 exalts worth of gear on a character in this game and look worse than a level 69 undead warrior in netherstorm.

in time, it will all work out though, GGG knows what they are doing and they are prioritizing what they feel is most important.

What about Voll's Protector? Used by loads of people, it's been in the game longer than any of the uniques you guys are talking about and it has a relatively simple design?

Almost every one one of my characters uses the item but it's not like I have a motive or anything.
