cast speed + totems

does picking up cast speed passives on tree or gear just makes you put down the totem faster or it makes totem cast the spell faster too?

i know for a fact, totem supported by faster casting makes it cast faster, but having casting increase on character (not via gem) helps totem too?

edit: lets take flame totem for example

Whatever Faster Casting does, cast speed passives on tree and gear does the same.

The only exception to this is the "Cast speed for Summoning Totems" nodes, which obviously only affect summoning totem speed.

purity/discipline would give extra res & ES to totems if totems are in range?

charges doesn't affect totems i believe

Auras don't apply to totems.

However Haste's cast speed increase will make your totems shoot faster.
