Ice Bite and Catalyse question

I am using a Glacial Hammer build and I wonder if these nods will help me out or if these nods only increase the damage of an elemental modifier on a weapon ? For example a hammer with 10-20 cold damage.

They will boost your cold damage.

This is the difference between "elemental damage" and "elemental damage with weapons".




Read carefully.

They help, but they won't be very good nodes if most of your damage for glacial hammer comes from a bunch of increased physical damage & a physical damage weapon. Like all other 'increased' modifiers, they're additive with your increased physical damage when you convert physical to elemental.
