However the damage loss from Berserk to Jugger is about 15K dps for me. It seems like a huge damage trade for movement speed. Obviously "Unstoppable" is quite important. But that's the only benefit I can see in using Jug class over Berserker. I have over 11K armour unbuffed anyway. And with flasks I reach 90% dmg reduction. And generating charges is not a problem as I use "Endurying Cry" instead of "Determination" aura. So as far as defense goes, I don't see a big improvement from that 8% elem reduction.


I know the guide offers both options, but how important is actually to spec into Juggernaut? In the end, is it really worth trading so much damage for movement freedom?

I've just got quality on my gems today, but as soon as they level, I'll test Atziri.

Is Ice crash performing better than Earthquake? Why do people prefer it as a main?

Juggernaut will offer you tankiness, not just movement speed. The damage loss is somewhat returned with the increased dmg per end charge. Ofc, if you feel tanky enough, nothing is stopping you to go Berserker :)

I wasn't of the impression that ppl prefer Ice Crash over Earthquake, in fact, it seems the opposite to me. Earthquake is currently the most powerful melee skill in the game, dps-wise.

The reason I respec was because dying in high mod maps. So I do need the tankiness.
Is true, EQ does a ton of damage, however that aftershook has some delay even with a 20/20 Less Duration gem. But also you do sacrifice 2 passives to get Amplify.

Clear speed in solo mapping is painfully slow. True that I never worry about dying.

You also mentioned Infernal Blow as an option. Is it comparable to EQ? Thinking that it will free you off taking Amplify and those 2 points can go in damage nods or another jewel with life/dmg/dmg that for me seems superior to 20% elem dmg.

Also vs single target Mele Splash can be swapped with Added fire Damage.

I'm only asking because I don;t have the gems already leveled so I can compare. And I see original build used IB


Also, Do you think is a good idea to use Vaal IC instead of Molten, Just for Atziri runs.

Infernal blow can't compare to EQ. Almost nothing can, really.

I've tried Vaal IC and didn't find it that useful.

I've been trying some atziri runs.. managed to finish 4 out of 5. I swapped IAE with PtL gem and Determination aura with Ancestral for some more dmg boost. Reached ab 36k dps with 7 endurance charges.

The thing is every time I died when she clones, as I cant kill it fast enough and get smashed by those lightning strikes. Prob need some more practice as this were my first runs.

boss in maps only become a problem( t13+) when is full party, and in the end all my flasks are empty.

Overall I am really impressed by the build. It does lack damage but I don't have to worry every second that I get hit and die.

Yes, Atziri is mostly practice :) when you're acquainted with the fight, you can do it with almost any build.

Wanted to thank for great build. I ran it on Perandus and reached 90 for the first time. However I wasnt able to get 5k+ hp. Meginord girdle vs This Perandus belt life difference was 200hp, so I chose the 30aa and flask duration increase. Also didn't feel like I would need Blood magic while manually casting warlord's mark. DPS stayed around 23-33k, I managed to get better tooltip dps with Ice crash, but earthquake had still faster clearspeed.

apart from the nerf on WM and VMS gems I don't see any changes.

What did you pick for the last ascendancy points? Unyielding?

Unbreakable, saves a passive point in the tree as well.
