Hm, without Aurora all dmg will come to hp, so I think I wont be at full hp.

And, Could you explaine why you chose Infernal blow?
don't forget about block, at 65% and over you wont be taking so much hits, and when you do take them CWDT+ end. cry+ immortal call will give you some time to recover through leech and regen.

you still have curses too, im running with enfeeble/wardlord's mark for defense and flamability for offense

IB it's the manliest of skill, adding to comradeserge it's good for reflect mods on monsters/maps especially physical you can just ignore it, elemental needs some care but not much really, you can forget about any mob resurrecting since they bodies are splattered in the floor :D (looking at you necromancers) or mobs exploding corpse, fractured affix on maps can actually be helpfull.
Yeah, thanks, mraistlin, for filling in on that, I forgot that part! IB makes all enemies that use or benefit from corpses a LOT easier (necromancers, bird spitters, labyrinth map boss, etc.)

So I tested Molten Strike myself, with the exact same gear and support gems, this is what lvl 13 Molten Shell offers dps-wise in town:

My lvl 20 IB in town gives me only 200 more dps.

Therefore, it seems you could quite easily swap your IB with molten shell for the same (if not a bit better) dps, but for less mana, which is a pretty big thing, actually. However, Molten Strike has smaller aoe compared to a 20q IB with 20q melee splash, so clearing really big packs will take more time, imo. Also, you lose the corspe explosion effect from IB, so it's harder against necromancers and avians (aka birds).

With a different gem setup, you maybe might get even more dps with Molten Strike, though. I'm thinking maybe added fire instead of melee phys dmg. Didn't try it out unfortunately, will do next time.

I just started my first new ladder character with this build template. I am thinking that it may be an equal (or better) strategy to go along the strength node path to the duelist area, especially if you are not using axes. It is 3 nodes longer, but you pick up +50% melee physical damage on the way. I would like from feedback from the OP or others. Thanks!

It's completely fine, you'll just have problems with dex and int for gem requirements, you'll need a lot of dex/int from gear.

finally had some luck, got a rainbowstride to drop so i decided to ditch The Anvil, and get a corrupted stone:

Got stone for 20-25c cant recall, using enfeeble always, warlords mark(to have quicksilver always full) or flamability (if need dmg).
feeling extra tanky with these

i didnt bought the 5l... instead got this for 2.5ex:

31x dps(good enough)
1% elemental leech on IB explosion is awesome
tooltip dps mostly affected for the speed and better base dmg not so much for the elemental incnreased dmg that was expected, IB explosion now it's a beast with that extra elemental dmg.

Overall, these weapon with current 4L feels way better than having to buy a 5L with the same currency and having to rearrange remaninig gear to get the resistances right again, packs are put down almost instantly(except double res cold/fire ones)
Doryani's is a nice weapon for IB, yes.

As for a 5L, I think you should easily find one with the res you need. I can sell you my old one for 1.5ex if you want:

Hello, i wonder how you can run tree auras btw? i got a similar build like this, and when i run determination+discipline, all i got like is like 70 mana, how can you run tempest shield over that?
I'm not running 3 auras, only 2. That's why I wrote "determination for hard maps/areas and hatred for easy maps/areas" :)

You can run 3 auras only if it's 1 60% aura, 1 40% aura and tempest shield. But that's also only if you have reduced mana lvl20 and Soul Taker to be able to attack without mana.

So having aegis, if i use determination, would discipline be worse to use than tempest shield for example if you wanna be more tanky?
