[INV] Bosses Feedback

Updated it again, with better description and some strategy. Will do the rest later.

Keep information coming!

Let's all hope GGG reads some of this and acts. Their balance isn't the best and some of the bosses feel cheap and rushed in design!
But the Invasion bosses have good drops... if you have 2 to IIR mods on each piece of gear. IIR, the above all most important stat of POE.

Don't farm Invasion Bosses with that!

Farm the barrelchested krait, a much more rewarding experience!

One month into the league now and lots of people have left the league for good, because of their "balanced, incredibly fun content" and still no word about this situation from GGG. This makes me sad and worried about the future of this game. :(

I really feel like you. Usually GGG are master in replying / fixing any issues fast as light with a big incident report at the end.

Why GGG? Do you guys really think the joke of a 'balance' patch a week into invasion league has changed everything to good? It didnt fix anything - it made things just worse ( Vaal Fireball Eva Apocalyptica comes to mind). Vaal Weapon Smith , Judgement Apparatus obviously completely broken and you dont even MENTION it.

Like this guy said, the league is dead - every day people are leaving, converting to scrubcore where they get insane loot thrown after them. And from reading the forums / reddit / watching streamers it cant be so hard to determine that something is wrong. Stop wasting time developing overpowered bosses that just force people to log out every 2-3 zones just to avoid impossible and unrewarding fights.

Its time to change something to save what is left of the INV playerbase. (or upload a video of a few maps played through by Chris to showcase how doable the content really is)

STRATEGY:

If you know where an invader boss is and its too difficult, run right past it and finish your instance up knowing that its not there to harass you.

Unfortunately, this isn't a lot of fun; but facing everything else in the game (besides Invaders) just seems so much less stressful.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

Overall nice thread and i can agree with most of what OP said.

But some changes on from my own experience (solo selffound player but very good geared, mercieless):

...

Book Burner

In my opinion this one can be much more dangerous because he also uses Beartraps and he has a far shot mod. The damage can be surprisingly high. But propably still doable with high Armor (dont try it with evasion character the Beartrap will crush you).

...

My first Invasion character (Shadow trapper) died at level 31 when he bumped into this bastard in the Sewers. Initially I ran away, but the "DO IT WIMP" mentality (that, admittedly, has gotten me further in this game than I've ever gotten in other games of its ilk) made me go back and take him on.

And that's when I discovered he has Bear Trap.

A LIBRARIAN. With frigging BEAR TRAP.

As you might expect, once the trap went snap, death was quick to follow.

My current Shadow Trapper -- my sixth Invasion character, cleverly named InvasionNumberSix -- encountered him in Sarn. Much more room to maneuver, much more satisfying outcome (read: dead Book Burner).

Adding a few more snapshots. One thing I'm starting to see is that even the descriptions under the bosses aren't enough for you to prepare for what they are about to do.

This is a slight knock against GGG, but the descriptions are extremely vague and don't really add to much strategy...

THIS. I've found out the hard way, several times, that the description leaves out some very important information, like "USES BEAR TRAP" or "CASTS INSANE SPAMMY FIRE NOVA".

It's to the point where I see brown text, and I leave a brown trail (riddled with fire traps).

And THIS. I finally figured this out myself after five deaths, and so far, knock wood, it seems to be paying off.

Having said that, I am trying to complete the Invasion boss challenge... but staying alive has taken priority, oddly enough.

Maybe I'll finally get out of Normal this time...

Granite Crush is INSANE on merc. His AoE is at least 75% of the screen. It's dumb.

Crush was nigh impossible on my ele archer. I rerolled dual flame totems and it makes this guy a joke. My flame totem takes him down in around 20 seconds. Edit: on merc.

The snake with prox shield however is just ridiculous for totems. Never stays still and totems never hit him unless he accidentally runs through them for about a second.

Curator Miem doesn't cast firestorm in point blank range.

Man up and save yourself some FPS!
