Baleful Gem Bug?

Email I got from GGG support:

Hi there,

Thanks for your email. The server instability last night has cause certain quest items to be deleted. While we do not have an official word from Chris yet on the matter, I suspect that this issue will be very high priority when the devs get into the office. There are a few problems from the instability that are left to be addressed and hopefully everything will get sorted out this morning. I think that Chris will make an announcement or a post about the quest items because of how many players have been affected.

I'm currently having the same problem. Can't advance my dude to act 3 without that gem...

same they deleted my bow along with 3 gems that i had in it the bow i can understand but it didnt have any weird mods to it so im not sure why they even did that, and ive killed fideltus like 5 times already and no gem

Same here, did the quest for the spike last night.. shortly after, the servers went down.. then logged in today and spike is gone. :(

I have the same issue. Went back to the strange device to see if it drops again but no luck.

I sent support some screenshots to help so hopefully they will get this fixed asap!

Is this still not fixed? I don't see the gem and and it still doesn't drop. I really don't want to have to make a whole new toon. Sigh...

Man, I've had to live life in RL for like a day now. I want to go back to Wraeclast!!!!

So, any news on this and deleted quest items in general?

Sad there is still no fix to this. It has almost been 24hrs since I received an email from support about this problem and well over 24hrs since I sent the email.
