Infinite skill points

Heard from a few people that the necromancer quest in normal gave piety's quest reward and the reward was claimable infinite times.
So there is a few people around with hundreds of extra skill points. |

Damn, should have told me earlier. It's nice to be in God Mode, even if it's just 1 minute.

If it did work in the past, it is no longer the case unless there is more to it.
Just completed the quest with typical 2 respec reward. For years i searched for deep truths. A thousand revelations. At the very edge...the ability to think itself dissolves away.Thinking in human language is the problem. Any separation from 'the whole truth' is incomplete.My incomplete concepts may add to your 'whole truth', accept it or think about it

I could not duplicate this. I just completed the Normal necromancer quest on Turtlefish in the Ambush league.
Screenshots show the reward as a Two passive respec book. Also used the book and it correctly gave the passive respec points. Tarkleigh has no further rewards and the quest is complete.   |

It shouldn't be possible to actually stack up multiple skill points, even if the reward is awarded multiple times - it's setting a flag, not actually adding to a number.
If we can get a character who's received the reward multiple times to look at, we can check what kind of state it did get into, but getting the reward twice shouldn't be able to do anything more than getting it once, since the flag is already set. | |

A new alt I was running, Marcus_Blackfire in ambush league, was affected by it. Got the skill point book and used it, then realized it gave me actual skill points rather than respec points. I also noticed the necromance reward dialogue was still highlighted, so I clicked it and saw I could take the reward again. The item was grigor's skill book reward from Piety's pets quest, as the message that I had completed it was flashing in the lower left corner. I tried logging out and then back in, and that fixed the reward, but I still have the skill points. He's only level twelve so I'll probably just delete him and reroll him. But I did get the skill points.
