Point Blank and Trap Support Gems.

So if I used the point blank support gem and had a trap shoot like burning arrow. Would it judge it's damage based on where the trap is, or me? It's the difference inbetween point blank being +50% damage or being a very likely -50%.

It measures the distance from where the projectile spawns to where it lands. So, in the case of traps and mines, it is where the detonation occurs which is where the trap/mine is.
