Split Arrow + Pierce ?

I have Split Arrow linked to Fork, and it works beautifully. Do any of you players experienced with SPlit and Pierce know if it's a better IDEA to have Split Arrow pierce targets?

I currently have Pierce linked to Poison Arrow with LMP. What I;m trying to do is figure out the best way to inflict as much damage as possible without destroying my mana.

Split Arrow with Fork sends arrows all over the place. I'm not sure if sticking Pierce on that would make them more effective or not. Sure, some arrows would pierce, but maybe forking is better? Maybe it's better if they have the chance to pierce, assuming they're still likely to hit something and either pierce again or fork *then*?


Also, there's the passive node. It would take ten points to reach it from where I am. Is it worth that? It sure seems like it's be great to have more pierce chance on Poison Arrow, but maybe I just need to stick a Fork on that too.

I'm starting to think PA/LMP/Pierce/Fork and Split/Fork/ManaLeech/AddedColdDamage would be a pretty good way to go. Or something like that. Any opinions on what's most effective?
