Favorite developer quotes re: design theories

Quite simple. Many game development studios have some incredible minds behind the theory, design and development of games. What are your favorite quotes, or general stances from these brilliant minds?
Or, on the other end of the scale, what are you least favorite?

DLC:
"We held nothing back... we have no plans to extend the game... It's meant to be a complete story."
-Bastion developer Greg Kasavin, Supergiant Games

DRM/piracy:
One thing that you hear [Valve] talk a lot about is entertainment as a service. It's an attitude that says 'what have I done for my customers today? It informs all the decisions we make, and once you get into that mindset it helps you avoid things like some of the Digital Rights Management problems that actually make your entertainment products worth less by wrapping those negatives around them."
-Gabe Newell, CEO Valve Software

"Once you actually localise your product in Russia and ship it on the same day that you ship your English language versions, this theoretical hotbed of piracy becomes your second largest- third largest after Germany in continental Europe- market
...The point is that there’s this market that you shouldn’t waste your time on, that went from, “You shouldn’t waste our time on it, they’ll just pirate it,” to “it’s actually a really large market for us now,” once you actually do the things that allow your product to be played. And that’s why some of the DRM approaches are so bad, because they create negative value, not positive value."
-Gabe Newell, CEO Valve Software

"...in my opinion DRM drives people to pirate games rather than prevent them from doing that. Would you rather spend $50 on a game that requires installing malware on your system, or to stay online all the time and crashes every time the connection goes down, or would you rather download a cracked version without all that hassle?"
-Lukasz Kukawski, PR and marketing Good Old Games

“You’re fighting against an immovable force by complaining and being paranoid about [piracy] and all that. We figure if we’re just nice to our customers, charge a low price for our game to begin with, don’t over-burden them with crazy DRM, and customers will be nice to us too. And so far, they have been.”
-Max Schaefer, CEO Runic Games

Ruining the games industry:
"With respect to the franchises that don’t have the potential to be exploited every year across every platform with clear sequel potential that can meet our objectives of over time becoming $100 million plus franchises, that’s a strategy that has worked very well for us"
-Bobby Kotick, CEO Activision

"Long-term focus and commitment to providing superior returns to our shareholders."
-Bobby Kotick, CEO Activision

"really rewards profit and nothing else." (Concerning incentive program for Activision employees)
-Bobby Kotick, CEO Activision

"We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games."
-Bobby Kotick, CEO Activision

Citing Valve is ridiculous. Steam is so endlessly annoying. And they spam me with advertising popups, too. And I friggin paid for it.
There are many ways to die, but only one way to live!
