I am not sure about my build is effective and suitable for Oro's Sacrifice or not 2. I have no idea what skill should I use to be the main dps. Double Strike? Cleave or others? 3. not sure about the build is good or not 4. Is it good to start with marauder? or other characters? so i need some comment on my build. thanks! IGN : ELESTERRR (AMBUSH)

" Kinda hard to comment anything specific based on what you posted so far (need more info etc.), but.. 1. You should try find a way to counter the 20% increased Fire/Physical damage taken, 2H builds are squishy without some specific "active" defenses (MoM, AA, Light. Coil? etc.) . Oro's makes you even more squishy. 2. Double Strike and Cleave both scale with physical damage, Oro's doesn't have it. Spectral Throw give you an option to stay away from facetanking some hardhitting mobs and it scales with elemental damage aswell. Flicker also scales well with Frenzy charges, maintaining Frenzy charges is easy with Oro's. 3. If you're gonna do it the "traditional way" (some life, some damage, IR/US, use melee attacks as they are) without building around the Oro's (Frenzy Charges, ignite etc.), I'd say you're better off with physical weapon and damage output. 4. Should be okay, you're not forced to "waste" passive points with the Marauder - start area. In a nutshell: if you're going to use Oro's Sacrifice, build around the mechanics it has. If you just slap it into a standard ST/double strike -build and instead of physical damage, do elemental damage. You'll end up just gimping yourself. This is just my opinion, though. |

" Thank you for your advice. I will try to make a more reliable build, maybe flicker strike. Really thanks abt it! IGN : ELESTERRR (AMBUSH)

I too am building around Oro's sacrifice because I happen to like uniques with drawbacks for flavor.
=defensive set up= I'm approaching the problem from a different angle though by running a lot of aura nodes in my passive setup to run wrath/anger/purity of lightning+fire. The purity of fire to offset Oro's innate 20% damage taken from fire and the purity of lightning to go with the Lightning Coil chest piece to help mitigate the physical damage taken through the chest and then purity of lightning to help reduce that further. Furthermore since you can possibly get rolled by ele reflect a middling to high level arctic armor will significantly help to reduce most if not all of your reflected damage due to dealing primarily only fire damage which is negated by and large by arctic armor. In addition it helps to curb some physical damage as well. As another layer of defense I chose to go with acrobatics/evasion for my mitigation and avoidance. I initially considered MoM but most of my mana will be used for auras with only just enough left for skill spam so this wouldn't have been possible. =offense= For attacking skills I've settled on Elemental hit (weapon elemental damage>faster attacks>life leech>blind>fire pen) for single target. Could also swap ele hit for double strike I think as well if the mana cost is too prohibitive. For AoE I'm using Spectral throw (weapon elemental damage>faster attacks>life gain on hit>fire pen>LMP or Blind) I also muck around with cyclone because its just fun and fairly effective as well if not hell on your mana pool. |
