Labyrinth map boss
Ok I'm not usually one to simply give up but losing 6k ES in under 0.5 seconds was enough to make me not even attempt to kill this boss again, if my EXP was close to 0% I probably would have stubbornly gave it a few more tries but I doubt I would have got any results.
So if you're a character with no armor and not running arctic armor, how are you supposed to go about killing this beast? I doubt even a 100% increased armor granite flask would help me out here, is there some other defensive alternative I'm overlooking or is this boss simply one I should skip. First off, poe in general but especially the end game, is designed to kill you. Don't face a boss without reading up or watching a video and expect not to die. Second, she doesn't hit hard she just hits often. Armor works very well here, AA works good as you pointed out, so does high block or dodge/evade. ES should not be considered a defense, it is life pool. You can not take full damage from bosses and expect to live no matter the size of your life pool.
Edit: and pretty sure she does significant chaos damage with her attack. |

Yea I did look up the boss but I thought "oh plumed chimera, zombies should block most the damage" boy was I wrong.
Somebody else suggested to me to use evangelists (the ones with proximity shield) which I think could be a good idea, I'll have to try it again some time and with a 100%ish armor granite flask. Thanks for the post. IGNs - GotBrainDamageInIntro

The boss is easy for melee, but always skip for caster/ranged chars with low physical res. The GGG way of balancing things you know. Never played a summoner but I can imagine evangelists will help against boss EK and devourers projectiles but not against devourers in melee.
