Disconnect - Failure to join instance

Hi,

UPDATE: Found the cause of the problem. I was running PeerBlock and it was blocking access to one of PoE's Servers - 173.192.12.xx Once you allow it through, the problems go away.

After the last patch I've started having a weird problem. I occasionally lose connection. What is weird though is that it seems to mostly happen when I join SPECIFIC areas. As an example, I just ran Ledge-Climb back and forth about 4 times with no problems. But as soon as I find the Upper Submerged massage and try to enter it, it IMMEDIATELY crashes. After a couple of logins, the crash area changes.

Here's my WinMTR:

Please don't say "well it's that no response from host, call your ISP". A problematic node would not explain being fine for 30 mins then getting kicked off when attempting to do something. After I log back in, I try to goto the same area and would get immediately kicked again. I can re-create the issue.

My ping's a relatively stable 60-70, have a 15/1 connection that has nothing else on it (don't say your UL is too low - it's not, I've played just fine for the past 3 months from here). Pingtest.net gives me 0% packet loss and a rock solid connection.

So.. anyone have any ideas why I'd crash in certain instances? Only thing I can think of is that the certain instance is hosted in location X, which makes my ISP jump to a bad node.

Thanks!

Here's Pingplotter:
I've been getting the same thing since Thursday, 03/13/2014. At first I found I got dropped from the same instance immediately, and this happened in multiple areas. But if I control-click to make a new instance in that area, I could sometimes get in. Another problem has been about 90% of the time when I went to town I got logged out with an abnormal disconnect.

Out of curiosity I decided to connect through the European gateway, to see if it might have something to do with routing between the game servers. After being able to play every third instance without a disconnect, I was able to play for almost a full day solo without a problem. Then today I had another abnormal disconnect when I tried to join an instance created by a friend in the US.

While I can play solo using a different gateway, my latency has been over 200ms most of the time. This gets much worse in maps, leading to several deaths.

This is from the log file of my last try to connect through the American gateway again:

The thing that confuses me is that my room mate also connects through the American gateway, yet has not been experiencing these disconnects. Another important detail is that I play from two physical locations. I live in the Los Angeles area, but I work near San Diego. The problem started while I was in the San Diego area, yet persists once I'm home. This was not happening at all before 1.1.1. Is there some key tied to each installation of PoE which would affect how servers are chosen for instances? Is it just some problem in the middle?

Sounds similar. I can confirm it's related to joining particular instances. I've AFKed in a zone (not any specific one) for hours without problems. But joining a different instance causes me to get disconnected about 50% of the time. I've gotten kicked out of all instances, then I create a different one and it runs fine.

Does anyone know what technically happens when you join a new instance? Does it send you to a different server? Can that cause a routing issue?
I went through the log file to see the IPs of the instances that disconnect vs the ones that are good. My findings:

If I disregard the last digit of the IP, which probably corresponds to the unique instance, I can narrow down the list of problematic servers to ONE:

IP Status
173.192.25 OK
173.192.12 Disconnect
50.97.123 OK
192.155.227 OK
173.193.53 OK
119.82.146 OK
37.58.89 OK
37.58.67 OK

Doing a whois shows that the first 2 servers are both located in Dallas, TX, which should eliminate any routing issues on my or ISPs side.

Can someone @ support please check the highlighted server for issues?
Bump.
BUMP. Keep disconnecting when connecting to specific IP.. What could possibly be the cause?
