If they had been released at the same time I would have played them both at the same time.
However I burned out after 400 hours of D3. Now it's time to burn myself out playing this. |

" If i posted this In support then I would be wasting front page space! how much space does it have by the way? mr smarty pants! IM READY TO TEST!

I want to try and explain something to the OP and others about the whole D3 vs POE.
One thing is to say that I do not like one of the particular games due to personal taste. For example, a person who enjoys playing shooter games might the point and click nature of D3 enjoyable, or POE because of how hardcore the game is. Maybe someone will not like POE because of how clunky the combat feels. That is one thing. And that is ok. Usually though, if an individual dislikes a game, they would never even bother to post in the game's forums to make a statement-because.they.do.not.care. What is all this POE vs D3 madness? Well, once upon a time Blizzard North release an ARPG game called Diablo 2 successor to the award-winning Diablo for the PC. The game was so amazing and featured such depth and customization that millions of fans fell in love with it instantly. Over time the game grew and Blizzard built upon the foundation by adding a lot of really good and innovative content. Over the years, a lot of people have spent more time playing the game than they will ever admit to anyone outside of a forum. They played the game so vigorously not because they simply liked the game but because they loved it...it was one if not their favorite game of all time. Last year Diablo 3 was released and millions of hearts have been crushed, stabbed, or dare I say, ripped open by the fiasco that the successor was. In fact it is not a successor at all but a completely different game that has nothing to do with the Diablo franchise. It did not improve upon the core mechanics or existing gameplay ideas. Instead it developed into a very different game than what the previous two Diablos had been. To the point: I was one the people that fell in love with the game. I am pretty sure, along with others here in Wraeclast, that we played Diablo 2 to death. We have waited many years for a successor and we have finally found that in POE. I like Diablo 3. A lot. I really do. But I just will not be playing it anymore because there is nothing left for me to do in what I consider to be such a boring game. The game that I found in Diablo 3, although quite enjoyable for a time, was not what I was expecting to find when I paid $60. And this is why people are willing to pay $1000 USD to help make POE better. Because it is the game that many of us were waiting to find in Diablo 3 but did not. Because we have learned the hard way that Blizzard is changing, and not for the better. So can you enjoy D3 and POE at the same time? Of course you can. Can you like and enjoy different things? Yes, absolutely. As it stands, D3 is aimed at casual players. POE is aimed at hardcore players. That is not to say that one is better than the other(although that definately is the case!) but simply that different people enjoy different things. Diablo 3 is like fast food. Everybody enjoys it. POE is like a real Italian/French/Spanish/etc restaurant. Quality. This in a nutshell is why many POE fans try and let as many people know about the game as possible. We have been waiting in the dark for 12 years and now that the king has arrived we feel a need to let others know. This is especially important since the game is flying under the radar and many might never hear about it. Do not be fooled by all the hate. There are two sides to the D3 vs POE argument: those that are passionate and those that aren't. IGN: ImmortalFang Last edited by Z0D#1393 on Jan 29, 2013, 4:06:46 PM

It is weird that you play Diablo 3.
I played it for 2-4 weeks. Got 3 level 60's. It was pathetically easy. Then - Inferno. GG Farmed Act 1 Inferno non problem, easy. Act two, get one shot with 40Khp 12K armor 800-122 All resists. Absurd. ~ Seph

if you just started d3: no you are not.
if your chars are level 60: yes you are. |

im playing both. i'll be playing more of d3 once their next patch hits. I don't think d3 will ever reach the multiplayer quality of PoE but I have my hopes.
This is, of course, making assumptions that end game PoE is great. |

I don't necessarily think Diablo 3 was a bad game, but it certainly wasn't what I was expecting, or ultimately wanted - I went back to D2 after a few months, then I started playing PoE.
So no, I think they're pretty different. Inevitably some folks will prefer D3. He who controls the spice controls the universe.

" The problem you are describing has been long fixed. It's like saying that PoE is absurd because it only has 2 acts. |
