PoE effected by other programs while running
|
I'm having some serious issues with PoE dropping a ferocious amount of frames (from about 60 down to 5-8) when I have a second program running on my second monitor. Through my testing it seems like Windows Media Player, YouTube, and Twitch all do this. It might be something regarding that they're all video related. I personally enjoy watching movies//other people play while I'm playing.
Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this issue? |

" It might. Then again it might not be. I can't really understand how so many people in this forum post about technical problems they are having yet provide absolutely no details whatsoever about their system and the steps they might have already taken to solve the problem. It's practically impossible to fix bugs if they or the circumstances surrounding them are described so vaguely or not at all. No one can find a bug that affects only certain people with certain systems/drivers if those users don't post about what exactly these systems/drivers are. |

I change the adapter to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 555 option and it doesn't allow me to save my changes and stays using the Intel(R) HD Graphics Family. |

EDIT: Try loading PoE with your GTX instead.

" Can I get this in slightly more laments terms, how specifically do I access the command line operation. The rest of the instructions seem pretty straight forward. Thank you for your help! |
|
" Okay I could really use some assistance...I have tried what one thread suggested to find this "command line option" and I cannot find ANYTHING. Seriously support forums aren't supposed to be meant to provide fixes for people with computer science degrees but rather the average consumer. I can't find where to add this modifier, and I try to change it in game and it keeps going back to the Intel card. This is ridiculous. |

Right click on your PoE shortcut. Click Properties. On the first line after the " " add the -adapter:0 command. I don't think it works though. I have a HD 6620 and a 6750m in my laptop and only 0 would work. I put 1 and got a Direct3d error and game wouldn't launch.

I tried "-adapter:1" and got the following error message when trying to hit the okay box, The name '"C:\Program Filex (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\Client.exe"-adapter:1' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.
I did the same with "-adapter:0" and got the same error message. Where am I going wrong? |

Add a space between the target and the options.
"{Path of exile}/Client.exe" -adapter:{n} |
