Was quickly skimming the thread and decided to post some bands that I didn't see mentioned before (maybe I just missed some but probably not all).

I dont blame you with not checking the whole thread, its easy to get lost in piles of good metal. As for the coming back thing, Im still only to like the k's of my archive of little known music, eventually Ill finish it. Its around page 13-15 iirc.

By the way, is there any good website that lists new metal releases? And by good I mean something that lists a good bunch of less known bands as well.

I'd also like to say that I do like good female vocalists a lot so why not post some of those too. As usual I try to avoid posting bands I'd assume almost everyone knows (like Arch Enemy when we're talking about female vocalists).

Probably my favorite folk metal band is Russian Arkona. Masha is such a great singer. Their last album was a bit disappointing but older stuff is great: http://youtu.be/Lw-xYC9XNu8 and http://youtu.be/SgXlUxDGFvU.

All female band is usually a bad sign but every now and then there's one that's actually making good music. Mortals is one of them. Debut album was released this year by this US trio (video is kind of stupid but music is awesome): http://youtu.be/mHPh_aUfGD8.

Power Metal from Italy with good female vocals. Unfortunately Power Symphony is almost certainly disbanded (don't know if they've ever officially said so but there's been no news nor activity in many years). Their first album is excellent blend of power and tradiotional doom. The 3rd and the Mortal made really unique doomy mellow ambient music back in the day when Kari Rueslåtten was still their singer. So beautiful: http://youtu.be/ekky_RAgR2g

Speaking of acid bath, one of my favorite bands, here is audie pietr's band with which he recoreded an album before dying, it is one of the most unqiue sounding metal bands ive heard mostly because there are 3 basses and 1 drum set, no guitars, just madness:
