Solved the Font error with fonts that not shows up fix tipp

ok guys i figured it out how to solve the problem with fonts that not shows up in Font folder.
This works for me and i can finaly play the game!

many guys got the problem like this:



the most can just delete the font but some like me didnt find the font

and here is the way to find it and delete the hiding font!

Hope this help the rest not being able to play!


1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the Run dialog, type regedit, and click/tap on OK.

2. If prompted by UAC, then click/tap on Yes (if in adminsitrator account) or type in the administrator's password (if in standard account).

3. In regedit, navigate to the location below. (see below)



HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts



4. In the right pane of Fonts, right click on the font name that you want to delete and click on Delete.

5. Click/tap on Yes to approve the deletion.


Note:

To also delete the font as well in 64-bit Windows, you will also need to do this step.

If you have a 32-bit Windows installed, then skip this step since doing steps 1 to 5 will delete the font in it.

A) In regedit, navigate to the location below. (see below)



HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts



B) Repeat steps 4 and 5.

7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 for any other font you would like to delete

8. When finished, restart the computer to apply.

Unfortunately for me "Wingdings 2" not only does not show up in the fonts folder but also does not show up in the registry. :-/

u checked the 2 paths?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Fonts

i fargot to say this is for win7!

if you got vista or xp try the search option in regedit

if you got vista or xp try the search option in regedit

I did both paths and there was nothing. The only place in the registry that I found mention of the font in question was
HKEY_USERS\S-(string of numbers denoting account I imagine)\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Panose

Edit: Went ahead and deleted that one, rebooted, and now the game's loading without issue. Might as well just have people press ctrl+F, type in the font name, and delete all records of its existence. Also might make sure they right-click on every registry point in the left pane and Export it before they delete the font entries just to be safe.

Edit 2: That was with Windows 7 x64.
