Corrupted item for vendor recipes?

Anyone tested if the corrupted items behave normally for vendor recipes? so could you for instance take one of the ilevel 100 amulets from races, corrupt it, and if not happy with it, use vendor recipe to turn it into a white ilevel 100 onyx instead?

well no clue about that, just found one so far, maybe its already known, probaly new:

corrupted two-stone ring + 2x rare two-stone ring
(however it also can need 3x rare two-stone rings, kinda weird)
= prismatic rare ring

Yea that's the Prismatic ring recipe (3 two-stone rings with different resists each). Seems like they work with corrupted too (haven't tried myself as I haven't even got vaal orbs)
I've tried using a leveled corrupted gem + scouring to see what happened, didn't work. I'm sure corrupted items will not work with any vendor recipe that alters the item.

EDIT: Oh wait, I misunderstood your question. Yeah, you probably can use a corrupted amulet to make an Onyx amulet, as that isn't altering the item itself.

They don't affect the recipes... yet. But I think they should.
they behave like a normal item of that type for most vendor recipes. but i think ur specific scenario was nerfed in one of the first patches after vaal orb release. u can check the patchnotes maybe it refers to what i think (didnt try it)
